Bacon Chili Cheese Tops

Deep fried cheese, bacon and jalapenos? Yes please

Are you a fan of chili cheese tops? It's a dish most commonly known from fast food restaurants, but why not make them at home? And why not upgrade it?

Our latest effort is to bring you how-to videos og real man food and guilty pleasures. Starting, of course, with an upgrade classic.

Let us present:

Bacon Chili Cheese Tops

Beer batter:

  • 200 grams of wheat flour
  • A cup of stout beer.
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • ½ tea spoon of fresh grounded pepper

Tops (per piece):

  • 1 strip of smoked bacon
  • Cheddar cheese cube
  • 1 slice of pickled jalapeno.
  • Oil for deep fry.

This is how you do it:

Heat up the oil.

Mix ingredients for the beer batter, until it reaches a thin uniform appearance. Fry the baconstrips on a frying pan. Remove before crisp. Place the bacon on a cutting board, place a piece of cheddar and a jalapenos slice, on top of it, and wrap the bacon around it.

Then submerge the bacon top in the batter, and move it to the hot oil.

Let the tops fry until they reach a golden glow.

Serve right away. Bon appetit.

Varm olien op.
